Biking is a pretty precarious sport all by itself, but bike racing certainly takes things to a whole new level.  These events seem custom built for testosterone.. and injury.

Here’s a biking tip to remember:  If it’s been at least 20 years since you’ve been on a bike and you’re just taking it up again as a leisure activity, avoid getting clip-on pedals… despite what the 19 year old bike salesman says about improving your stride. Stick with some good basket pedals as an alternative. Full speed bicycle wrecks are even less fun when you can’t get unclipped.
