I’m usually pretty good about putting tools up. I learned long ago that if you want to use a tool again, you had better make sure it has a specific place on your shelf and ends up there again, at the end of the day.
The one time I cut myself a little slack is when I’m putting up a hose… that has a lot of slack.
For the third weekend in a row, I’ve found myself dragging tools out of the garage and into the backyard for some DIY home projects that I’ve put off far too long. The air-compressor hose gets used a lot in the spring and knowing that I’ll have it out again during the week, I cut corners on wrapping it up and often just open the back door on the garage and toss it in.
That’s a mistake and one I won’t make again. On pulling it out today, it took a good 30 minutes to untangle and make ready for use.
Air compressor hoses are difficult to wrap and that’s why it’s so easy to be lazy about wrapping them. Here’s a creative way to wrap your air-compressor hose for a couple bucks at the most.
