How to Fake Scurvy

It’s Thanksgiving Day and nothing says Stove Top Stuffing like faking a case of scurvy.

That’s the gist of a new commercial created by The Martin Agency. If you’d do just about anything for a bit of stuffing at your holiday meal, you’ll understand.

The advertisement begs one significant question though. Just what the hell is scurvy – and how would you really fake it?

Scurvy is a disease that results from a lack of Vitamin C. If you have swollen gums, small red-blue spots appearing on your skin or previously healed wounds – you might want to see a doctor and make sure scurvy hasn’t set in.

For treatment, be prepared to consume large amounts of Vitamin C. Scurvy isn’t too likely to kill you, so don’t get too worked up and irritable.
